Throughout my life, I have sometimes felt like a “Jackie of all trades”.
My current profession is operating my own healthy home cleaning business and it has been very successful for 18 years. Before that, I managed health clubs, taught various fitness classes and was a personal trainer. For 10 years, I worked as a chiropractic therapist. I have loved working part time as a model for many years. I earned my B.S. in Psychology in addition to Physical Education, plus I have an Education degree; all from Western Illinois University.
I am a wife of a two legged husband and mother of the most wonderful four-legged kids. :o)
Participating in various sports has always been a part of my life. Most recently, I have been involved with the sport of disc dogging (Frisbee dogs) and have been blessed to be the human component of world championships and world records in distance. As a photography enthusiast, I have my own website, www.discdogpictures.com showcasing my shots of disc dogging.
My life seems to have given me so many insights into overall health that I have felt compelled to share it in some way…and be honest about it. While there are certainly good things about getting older and it is surely a blessing to be allowed to do so; it can also be very difficult in a multitude of ways.
My hope is that by sharing my experiences in this blog, I can help others prepare for it, deal with it, and be happy with all that they are and can be. Everyone is beautiful in their own way.
